The student life in Ghent offers plenty of engaging endeavors yet only a few offer an international experience. BEST (= Board of European Students of Technology) gives the average Plateau dweller the opportunity for an international development.

We are without a doubt best known for our courses. A BEST course is a two week course abroad where we hunt for a balance between knowledge and fun. Applying is easy as pie and not expensive at all.

Here in Ghent we also organize a Summer Course each year. During the course we can always count on our members. However, we are much more than colleagues; we are above all a close group of friends.

What we offer

• The opportunity to meet European students during one of our many activities or when you go abroad

• Trainings to sharpen your soft skills e.g. BePROUD or BeRICHER can teach you how to lead a team or gather funds and corporate partners.

• The ability to organize some activities yourself. Each activity has a Core Team were everyone can take his own responsibility.

There are ample opportunities to decide your own direction!

What do we expect from you?

As a member you try to join as many general meetings as possible and you try to help out at events, but most importantly you have fun!

Upcoming activities:

Every year there are recurring events like beBEC (our engineering competition) and our Summer Course. Other events include Cultural Exchanges with other BEST groups, LowLandsmeetings, Leisure Events and an Away Day

We hope to welcome you at one of these events but don’t hesitate to speak to us at school, join one of our meetings or have a beer with us at the goliarde. You’ll soon find yourself at home in the big BEST world.
