WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• Technical expert in mechatronics and controls
• Translate high level requirements of automation/control features into detailed specifications, where developments can start from
• Owns the implementation of automation/control features in Matlab & Simulink
• Is working in close collaboration with other software teams to integrate the feature in final environment
• Testing/simulating the performance of the feature on different levels during development: “Model in the loop”, “Software in the loop”, “Hardware in the loop”
• Testing & tuning the final implementation on a vehicle
• Leads design reviews with proper documentation for internal customers
• Is continuously benchmarking the CNHi developments against competition and is actively contributing in generating new/innovative ideas to create strategic advantages against competition

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Delivering well documented specifications of control & automation features
• Delivering well-structured Matlab & Simulink code, properly tested during the different steps of the development
• Updating the related management tools (SVN, Polarion (bug tracking management tool)) when needed
• Provides regular and timely reporting of the status of the projects to the different stakeholders

YOUR KEY COMPETENCES AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master of Science in Engineering with emphasis on control design, mechatronic system design or equivalent work experience
• Working experience with Automotive control software and rapid prototyping tools such as Matlab&Simulink® and dSPACE®
• Relevant experience in electro-hydraulic controls, linear and non-linear controls, adaptive controls
• Knowledge of Automotive tools such as CANalyzer and/or CANape (Vector)
• Knowledge of Process Tools such as SVN, Polarion
• Knowledge on C-Code is an asset
• Able to work under minimal supervision, but can recognize issues that need to be escalated
• Is Analytical and has significant problem-solving capabilities and experience
• Company languages are English, Dutch
• Available to travel for short period (1-2 weeks) to support in-field validation & tuning
• Strong planning, initiative and risk-taking, organizational and leadership skills
