Geosparc is looking for a Python developer to join its strong team of software consultants. Initially you will be working together with an experienced Geosparc consultant for a key customer on a large scale, green field development project in Brussels. You will be part of an informal, well oiled and fun scrum team in the client’s office. There is plenty of challenging work with well prepared functional specifications. That way you can focus on what you do best, technical analysis, design and coding to deliver high quality software!

Job and responsibilities
You will work in the Service Delivery team as a python developer and software consultant. You support our clients and strengthen their project teams. You deliver software with a high level of quality. You deeply care about how software applications look and feel as well as how they work. You report directly to the Geosparc service delivery manager.

You are responsible to:
- Understand user requirements and functional specifications
- Design and develop high quality, tested software to deliver user friendly, robust and easy to maintain software applications
- Analyse software issues, find their root cause and fix them
- Assess the impact and risks of code changes and new code implementations and provide estimates and suggestions for them
- Advice clients on technical architecture and design, technology choices and best practices for software coding and testing, continuous integration, etc.
- Perform team duties including preparing team meetings, reporting, hour registration, etc.
