Description

As a Senior Service Desk agent at Melexis, you will take ownership of customer issues reported and seeing problems through to resolution.

More specifically, you will

• Ensure full understanding of the all systems and their evolution in order to be able to take on the given tasks in a timely and professional way;
• Gather and provide records and details of all calls in order to get to a timely and appropriate resolution and make reporting and keeping of relevant statistics possible;
• 2nd line support: research, diagnose, troubleshoot and identify solutions to resolve customer issues;
• Provide guidance and coaching to junior colleagues in order to ensure that they deliver the expected results and that they progress in terms of know how and efficiency;
• Interact with relevant colleagues in the IT function in order to obtain support and to provide information to optimize the working of the function;
• Execute prepared changes to the infrastructure during maintenance windows;
• Seek additional training and participate in normally provided sessions in order to keep in line with the evolution of systems and working methods;
• Give basic product training to employees.

    Required special knowledge

    • University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent;
    • Proven working experience in enterprise technical support, IT support or similar;
    • Ability to understand and maintain Windows/Linux based network, operation systems and hardware;
    • Software knowledge: installation, troubleshooting;
    • Excellent customer relationship skills with the ability to establish effective, ongoing relationships with clients, staff and management;
    • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with a minimum of direction;
    • Excellent English skills.
