Q-layer
Q-layer is an innovative startup, located in Lochristi near Ghent. Our company is funded by Venture Capital (10 mio EUR) which allows us to develop ground-breaking virtualization software for datacenters. We are looking for intelligent and highly motivated team players to further build our technology and to bring to market our datacenter virtualization platform.
The Q-layer software is used by A-Server, a preferred partner, located in the same building as Q-layer. A-Server is building the first worldwide "Datacenter as a Service" platform. The teams of A-Server and Q-layer work closely together on a daily basis.
The Q-layer platform integrates VMWare, Xen and other hypervisors. We use Windows, Linux, PHP, Python, Java, .NET, UML, Scrum, ORM and many other leading technologies. Our team consists of experts in datacenter automation, storage virtualization, network design, software development and system integration.
Q-layer was founded in 2005 by a group of datacenter veterans, who also helped build the success of DataCenter Technologies (acquired by Veritas in 2005) and Dedigate (acquired by Terremark in 2005). The development team is responsible for patent-pending innovations such as strategically positioning primary and secondary data on disks. Q-layer has offices in Belgium, Cairo (Egypt test center) and Sillicon Valley (California, USA).
