BASE Outsourcing / Rollout / Site Engineering & Construction The rollout organization manages the acquisition and construction of GSM/UMTS sites for the customer BASE in Belgium, including but not limited to: finding suitable locations for new GSM/UMTS sites, getting the necessary permits, designing and physically building the sites, and integrating them into the live network. The work environment also includes frequent contact with the customer, the subcontractors, owners and other third parties. Goal : As an On Site Technical Support Junior Engineer you will be fully accountable for re-active and pro-active correct and preventive maintenance of the access network called BSS (GSM Node – Transmission - Environment) to ensure the full availability of the network Your main responsibilities will include: •First and second line corrective and preventive maintenance on radio/power/civil/airco equipment and this on ground and height level •Performing validations and acceptations of new hardware and or software at ground and height •Performing site issue support and adhoc activities •Performing antenna and or azimuth changes •Performs rigging activities according the safety rules •Performs power works at site level •Updates all technical network databases linked to the concerned activity •Assistance in Mobile Truck deployments •Assistance for Network Upgrades •Performing commissioning- installation of network elements •Performing in roll out activities by meaning installations and commissioning. •Assistance in Drive Testing at BSS level •Supporting external supplier activities •Creating technical and safety reports •Be fully part of an environment based on 24hr/24hr - 7d/7d on call duties •First Aid as overall Safety rule Your main challenges will be: •Is responsible as first-second line field engineer to trouble shoot - solving technical problems at ground and higher level •Is responsible for acceptance of all hardware Network Elements at ground and higher level •Is responsible for operational network elements linked to facility activities at BSS level to ensure the Mobile service is always granted and the electrical environment used for it •Analyzes and performs autonomous field tests in order to optimize the network and safeguard and improve the overall Qos •Is fully accountable and responsible to apply at all time the overall Safety Standards Contact for more information e-mail/phone: Recruiter: L. | Nodige voorkennis | Technical background and experience:
A2 Certificate in Electro-mechanics or equivalent Driving License min. B Knowledge of airco installations Knowledge of power systems(UPS, battery backup systems, etc..) Telecom understanding Knowledge of RF at GSM and UMTS level General knowledge of safety (GOF)-alarm techniques - power Social Skills: Command English-French-Dutch spoken and written Personal skills: –Safety minded –Able to work at height –Proactive –Result and efficiency orientation –Team player –Report problems and look for structural improvements –No blame culture –Sense of responsibility |
