As IT has a dominant place at most of our clients you will play an important role in helping clients optimise the efficiency and effectiveness of their risk and compliance functions in relation to IT, such as control assurance, IT governance, software asset management and contract compliance. Your client portfolio is large national and international companies and multinationals. As an IT Risk & Governance Consultant you will have the opportunity to get in touch with different aspects of the client’s IT environment. Together with the more senior colleagues you will perform for example IT audits, IT quality & maturity assessments. You will evaluate control effectiveness, protect and assure the clients’ intellectual property and the third party assurance and much more. We expect from you to identify weaknesses by controlling the information systems, look how IT can support the business and look for improvements. Based on best practices, you will establish appropriate control systems, provide practical advice and develop solutions for IT controls. When you start out at Deloitte, you will learn all there is to know about technology and how to apply this in practice as well as to develop your task management skills. As you grow in your job, you will take on a more senior role, and you will have the opportunity to learn how to delegate tasks and how to coach your colleagues. When you get more proficient in combining these various skill sets, you may take the lead on projects, deal with clients on a senior level, and continue to develop your management competencies.
