| Beschrijving | Electrical and physical characterization Engineer to support Research & Development activities on new Energy Efficient Power Semiconductor technologies within the Power Technology Center (PTC) of ON Semiconductor in Belgium.
The candidate will conduct in-depth electrical characterizations of integrated/discrete power devices and ESD protections in order to assess performances versus specifications and characterize in detail failure mechanisms. To complete his analysis, he will drive as well physical characterizations (SEM, EMMI, OBIRCH, …) visualizing process integration features and/or identifying locations of failures within device architectures/layouts. Subsequently, the candidate will draw conclusions establishing relationships between physical process features and electrical performances and communicate his analysis in a structured way to the Power Technology Center engineers in charge of technology developments. As such he will support the overall PTC team with overcoming process integration challenges, understanding reliability limiting effects to guaranty product lifetimes, and verifying the manufacturability of new technologies under development. Furthermore as member of the PTC Laboratory, the candidate will support the writing and execution of automated measurement programs on automatic probers as well as the development of new measurements set-up's to further extend the characterization capabilities of the Power Technology Center. He will report to the Technology Integration & Characterization team leader. |

| Nodige voorkennis | Master or Industrial Engineer in Microelectronics, Electronics or Instrumentation.
Basic knowledge of semiconductor device operations (Diode, MOSFET, Bipolar) Experience in conducting manual and/or automated electrical characterization (DC, CV,...) is a plus for this position. Analytical mindset, structured and detail oriented Good computing & Problem solving skills. Good knowledge of English (written and spoken) Team player with strong communication skills |
