For many people working at AG Insurance, Office is an important set of software's that they use every day. There are many office add-ins​, and AG Insurance currently uses very few of them. Different reasons explain this situation. For example, the add-ins are not always compatible with different versions of Office, which causes problems when we upgrade our infrastructure. It’s also difficult to manage the deployment and access rights (security) around those add-ins.

This internship faces multiple challenges. First of all, we would like to study the possibility to use API for Office as a way to manage the add-ins. It enables to create web applications that interact with Office applications, and could address some of the issues we have. Then, we would like to know which compatible add-ins offer the most added value for our IT work and in a global insurance context. We would like to build a map of the main ones and test some of them on concrete cases.
