Exail is a leading industrial player in high-tech solutions for the civil and defence sectors. Exail Robotics Belgium develops and produces unmanned surface/underwater vehicles that detect, identify, and destroy sea mines or explosives. Thanks to our innovative “standoff” concept adopted by the Belgian and Dutch navies, we can significantly reduce the risks involved in mine hunting. We also develop our own sonars, which enable to view and detect objects on the waterbed.
In the sonar framework, developed here in Mouscron, we integrate software components from the antenna electronics side up to the generation of human interpretable images of the seafloor. At Exail we run integration tests to test the entire program end-to-end in a simulated software environment. The framework can be run from a testing server to allow us to run longer tests overnight. However, running tests requires intimate knowledge of the command line interface of the framework and collecting summarized data requires significant amounts of manual labour.
In this internship, you will work on a web-application that runs a frond-end interface for the test-framework. The application should allow anyone from the team to easily configure/launch/plan new test runs; while also providing a clean overview of test results. Expect a decent degree of freedom as there is no exhaustive list of requirements, and we are an open team that welcomes brainstorming new ideas. Knowledge of Python is a plus, as we envision the application running in a python web environment, we have internal experience with Flask and Django. But as long as the application can interface with the test framework, we are open to other technologies.

Good command of Dutch or French. Can have a conversation in English. You will work in an international environment
