Automated tech radar

Here you find the details for the internship named "Automated tech radar" in the company Ordina Belgium.

Details
Name: Automated tech radar
Company: Ordina Belgium
Description:

Business Unit: NCore
Title: Automated tech radar that adjusts itself based on trends in the IT-sector

As a company, keeping track of what is going on in your market space is critical. Not keeping up to speed can mean your demise. But in the technology sector, trends are constantly shifting and expanding at an ever-faster rate. As a technology company, keeping up with the latest and greatest
and discarding the old is a mission critical objective.

Recently we had an exercise within our company to compile a “technology radar” about trends within
our market space. A very fun but also very difficult and tedious process. Loaded with gut feeling, bets and always changing opinions. It would be handy to have a sort of tool that can keep track of what is out there and compile these radars automatically. This tool can then be used as a sort of foundation to discuss about.

An open source radar visualization tool “tough works tech radar” exists and we would like to use it to
create a system that goes out hunting the interweb, monitor social media, churns company data and
compiles these radars for us.

To build this project, we would like to use the Microsoft Cloud and data platform: Azure. The platform
has a whole suite of services to use to create AI or machine learning applications such as Cognitive
services, Machine learning studio, logic apps, etc. Moreover, we would like this application to be
“serverless” meaning a serverless microservices architecture running on Azure functions, Logic apps, etc.

The exact workings on how the system compiles these radars can be agreed at the start of the project.
