Change is the only constant, both in business requirements as well as in IT implementations. For granted Data Warehousing layers such as the Data Vault and Data Mart implementations will once cease to exist in their current format. A first feasible step in modernizing the current way of working is replacing the physical Data Mart layer by a logical one, thereby making business the real owner of the business rules, lowering development time, increasing speed of business deliveries, lowering production downtimes, etc. Logical Data Warehousing meets agility and targets the Dev/BusOps utopia.

Goal:
You will be in charge of partially reorganizing an existing end-to-end Data Warehouse delivery. On top of an existing physical Data Vault layer you will build a logical Data Mart layer and further use it to feed and build a Power BI business dashboard. The goal is investigating whether the logical Data Mart implementation could replace the physical one, thereby unlocking business value potential.

• Candidates should be following an education in IT. Knowledge about SQL, ETL, data modelling and data warehousing is an advantage, but it will certainly be enforced during the internship itself.
• The internship will be in the headquarters in Mechelen. Transport on own initiative.
• Candidates can work independently without daily assistance.
• Internship is either in Dutch or English.
