Title: Vendor and Product Pipeline Analysis

Concept

If you have a business, your goal will normally be to sell as much of your products as possible while at the same time keeping your customers happy. When you are dealing with high demand – best case of course, this can prove to be a hard task when you have to manage a wide variety of products. You have to think about storage space and stock amounts but also know at what time exactly you yourself have to place new orders to your vendors to always be ready for incoming demand.
Not all vendors will be as reliably or work with the same terms, which can make it extra challenging.
During this project, you will be gathering data, getting insights into and rank different vendors + create a nice analyzing visual on top of it. At the same time you should be able to predict when you will have to place new orders and to which vendor(s).
All of this with some supervision of Ordina colleagues to guide whenever necessary.

Goal:

• Going through a big part of a BI development cycle and being able to come up with interesting insights.
• Gather knowledge of how a simplified ERP system could work.
• Help the - fictious – company with managing their inventory and demand in an automated way.

• Candidates should be following an IT-related study. Basic knowledge of SQL, ETL, data modelling, data warehousing and the Kimball methodology are a plus.
• The internship will take place in our offices in Mechelen. Candidates must arrange their own transport
• Candidates can work autonomously without daily guidance
