Virtual interpreter training system based on Dante Via
Here you find the details for the internship named "Virtual interpreter training system based on Dante Via" in the company Televic N.V..
|Name:||Virtual interpreter training system based on Dante Via|
Today Televic Education offers an interpreter training system by integrating its classroom management software with the high end conferencing hardware of Televic Conference.
It would be interesting to introduce an entry level product which replaces the Televic Conference hardware with a “virtual” computer based conference system. Audio streaming can be handled by the Dante streaming technology, PC-to-PC Dante streaming is possible by use of the Dante Via software (http://www.audinate.com)
The internship would include :
- Some research with regards to Dante network streaming and the use of a single network for combining audio and data streaming
- Creation of a Windows based “virtual interpreter desk”, which emulates the look and feel of the currently used hardware interpreter desk (http://www.televic-conference.com/en/lingua-interpreter-desk ). This application runs on student PCs and communicates with our current student software for classroom management.
- Creation of a Windows based “virtual Central Unit”, which manages the Dante audio streams from and to student PCs and teacher PC, and allows remote control of the virtual interpreter desks. This application runs on a teacher PC and communicates with our current teacher software for classroom management.
- Creation of a multi-track audiorecorder application for simultaneous recording of all student microphones through Dante Via / Dante Virtual Soundcard.
Development of the tools will preferably be done on the DotNet framework using VS2015 and C# as programming language.
Televic Education, located in Izegem, is part of the Televic group and develops e-learning applications, both online (Edumatic) and offline (AvidaNet). We are a small group, so as a thesis student you will get close guidance and support. Our connections to the universities are very broad, so academic support is not a problem.
