UMISAS, a new and innovative sonar is being developed by Exail Robotics Belgium. The new analog to digital conversion solution (RX pod) that is developed for the digitalization of the analog signals from the antenna will need a user interface (UI). This user interface (UI) solution needs to:
- Monitor the status of the RX pod
- Control the RX pod
- Acquire, visualize and analyse the digitalized data flow from the RX pod
You will be responsible for:
- Gathering and formalizing the requirements for the UI tool
- Define the software architecture for the UI (in python) that
o Connects to the RX pod
o Provide a back-end solution that performs the data capture and storage of the digitalized data
o Provide a machine-machine interface that can communicate with the python-based test framework
o Provide a front-end solution to provide a human-machine interface
o Ensure that the solution can process up to ~200Mb/s of data
- Setup of a test & validation of the developed UI
- Implementation of tests for the pod RX, by making use of the machine-machine back-end solution and its integration into the existing python based test framework

• Good command of Dutch or French. Can have a conversation in English. You will work in an international environment
• Knowledge of Python, experience with object-oriented programming
• Being able to work in a team
• End-user focus (Human Machine Interface) is important
• Take initiative in resolving issues and proposing solutions.
• Knowledge of C++ is a plus
• Experience with WebDevelopment (Javascript, AngularJS) is a plus
• Experience with larger software projects (multiple repository, JIRA) is a plus
• Experience with cmake, gtest, linux is a plus
