Key Responsibilities and Duties
• Project support: You participate in preparatory studies and validation processes of projects, installations and process changes at both Capsugel Bornem and Komec. You support risk analyses and commissioning.
• Audits and Permits: You will organize and conduct EHS audits within the organization and support the external environmental coordinator in coordinating operating permit extensions and ensuring ISO14001 standards are met.
• Advising: You will advise management to ensure operations are in compliance with legislation, Lonza EHS guidelines and state-of-the-art performance levels.
• EHS goals and programs: You will work closely with the prevention advisor and local management of Komec to establish, develop and follow up on annual EHS goals and programs.
• Backup role: You will act as a backup to the EHS manager.
• Fostering Culture: You will support management in promoting a culture that encourages colleagues and executives to contribute to the culture of safety within the companies.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a scientific field, safety or environmental engineering or equivalent training.
• Diploma in prevention advisor level 1 or 2 with experience. A certificate environmental coordinator or ISO14001 internal environmental auditor is a plus.
• Language Skills: You are fluent in Dutch and have a good knowledge of English.
• Skills: You can work independently, have strong analytical skills and have good communication skills.
