Your new team belongs to Production Logistics, which is a part of Group Truck Operations (GTO). We are an organization of approximately 650 employees, globally connected to deliver logistics solutions with world class operational excellence.

We ensure that transportation is purchased, packaging is available at our suppliers, material reaches our production facilities, and vehicles are delivered to customers on time. As part of our first-line support, we monitor system performance, address transmission errors, and drive process improvements. Our team also analyzes data to develop insights that optimize logistics processes and enhance collaboration. Our focus areas cover a wide array of activities: ensuring delivery of production materials to Volvo factories, monitoring transport statuses, maintaining strong collaboration with Logistic Service Providers, and enhancing data governance and quality. We deploy data analytics tools to support business, upskill the team in analytics, and seek continual improvements in our data capabilities.

We are a skilled, motivated team working cross-functionally with brands, production sites, Logistic Service Providers, Logistic Purchasing, IT, and other functions within Transport Operations Europe (TOE).

What you will do

• Collect, visualize, and analyze data to identify opportunities and develop BI solutions and tools to support our business.
• Use SQL to extract data from UDP (Unified Data Platform) to address analytical needs and reporting requirements (coming soon).
• Apply Python to automate workflows, clean data, and conduct advanced analysis.
• Participate in analytics Kaizen work (explorations) in cross-functional teams within Transport Operations Europe.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders to drive data-informed improvements.
• Lead the data transformation process for Transport Material Europe, ensuring clean, accessible data for analysis.
• Identify and develop data-driven insights to address business challenges and enhance operational efficiency.
• Contribute to shaping the future direction of our team in data analytics and innovation.

Your ticket to ride

• A degree in a relevant field or practical experience applying data and analytics to drive business improvements.
• Proficiency in developing BI solutions using tools like Python and SQL; knowledge of Qlik Sense or MS Power BI is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an eye for data-driven solutions.
• A communicative team player who builds and maintains trust with stakeholders and colleagues.
• Driven by curiosity and creativity to improve our business through analytics.
• Experience working in a cross-functional environment with collaborative stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal; other languages are an asset.
