The student will become part of our R&D team to work on our rapidly growing MES solution. The ARDIS R&D team is a passionate team with a broad mix of talents and skills, supporting personal growth and ambition.

This internship has 2 major subjects. As first subject: On the shopfloor, usually handheld scanners are used to signal when stock has been delivered, parts were produced or broken. Nowadays, a wide variety of mobile phones is equipped with camera's which can be used for barcode scanning as well. The goal of this internship is to develop an app for mobile devices which allows the factory employees to scan parts and register actions to be communicated with our MES platform. This can be to confirm a part is processed or that they broke a part, and this must be reproduced.

The second subject is to extend a framework which informs supervisors when situations on the shopfloor require their attention. The goal is to prototype a solution framework which allows to push notifications from the web application to the right supervisor. Supervisors will be able to monitor the active notifications on their app, and will receive a push notification depending on the severity and their configured work schedule.
