The internship is linked to a long-running project where we start from physical paintings in the museum (RMFAB) and we want to end up with a practical search system to search IN those paintings. Angles: computer vision for image enrichment, metadata improvement using metadata standards, IIIF annotation front-end for museum conservators, etc. Linked to this there is a different project where we will build a automatic museum guide app for all museums in Ghent.
