Your team and your responsibilities

Team/division description

Being part of TME’s Sales Division, the VC (Value Chain) Performance team is responsible to define and drive future commercial strategy for European region and support its implementation by supporting the Country Managers team who work closely with each Distributor company.

We are currently undergoing a major IT transformation and are seeking an enthusiastic and driven Intern to assist with database platform modernisation and portal testing efforts. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in project management (data analysis, reporting strategy) and quality assurance testing.
The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background, particularly in data analysis, testing scenarios, Power BI, and a comprehensive understanding of Reporting development framework.

Project Description:
1. Value Chain Planning Application
• Development of automated and dynamic planning tool to support business on the target planning cycle. The planning application must fulfil business needs and be flexible to possible changes.
• The application development englobes business analysis, data preparation, interface development (including user experience) and support once ready.

2. Aftersales Data Base (DB) Modernisation
• AfterSales DB is a reporting solution to be further developed in the course of 2025, aiming to support reporting needs of Value Chain team. Along the year, this solution will be evolving, editing existing features and adding new ones aiming to keep supporting Toyota Value Chain business.
• The project consists of a platform modernisation, combined with Governance to build a new reporting solution to support Value Chain.

Position Overview:

As an Intern, you will work closely with our project management team and IT teams to assist in testing of our newly developed solutions. You will be exposed to multiple facets of IT project delivery, including data analysis, reports and application testing, validation, identifying any discrepancies or issues during in the process. Assist in functional requirements, performance testing, participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) cycles. Attend team meetings to provide status updates and contribute ideas.

Requirements:
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, especially in data validation and testing.
• Experience with using excel with complex formulas and lookups, as it is quite used both for testing our tools as for your business operations.

• Experience with Power BI, including report creation, data modelling, and visualization.
• Understanding of data structures, databases (SQL, Pbi )
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and data pipelines is a plus.
• Ability to troubleshoot data issues and support data quality assurance efforts.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with technical and business teams.

Preferred Skills:
• Hands-on experience with data testing methodologies and tools.
• Understanding of APIs and data integration concepts.
• Ability to document processes and contribute to project documentation.

Your profile

• Education: final year of Bachelor / master’s degree in engineering, Economics, Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science
• Previous Business, Internship experience is an asset
• Automotive minded and knowledge of European market (sales volumes, market shares, competitors…)
• Excellent command of systems applications (Excel, Access, database management)
• Knowledge of Power BI is a plus
• Strong analytical (manage complex set of parameters) and visualisation skills
• Highly developed ability to be critical with facts and figures – working with numbers and data
• Self-starter attitude, taking initiative and not afraid of responsibility
• Ability to plan your work according to deadlines – able to work under strong pressure
• Innovative mind, with drive for continuous improvement
• A clear communicator able to present complex items in a simple way
• Sense of responsibility and confidentiality
• Flexible team player with hands-on mentality
• Mature business manners as well as strong interpersonal skills to build consensus, which allow you to move at ease within an international environment on all levels
• Fluent English is a must, other languages are assets

Starting date: 01 September 2025 (exact date to be agreed between the intern – university and TME)

Duration: 12 weeks
