Required special knowledge | You have a Master in a Mathematical, Scientific or Engineering field with a focus on operations research algorithms. Having a PhD in one of these fields is a definite advantage. You have expert knowledge of the mathematics and algorithms related to Linear and Mixed Integer programming, and you have a good knowledge of related optimization techniques and heuristics. You are convinced about the power of a combination of techniques to achieve the best results. You have a solid IT background and you are not only passionate about mathematics, but you also get a kick from making it work in practice by writing well-structured, well-tested and performant software. Working knowledge of Object Oriented Programming, preferably C++, is an asset, as well as experience with multithreading. As you will work on complex mathematical software, you need to be very analytical, creative and have strong mathematical ability. |
