WWI Daytrip

Exactly 100 years ago the Western Region of Belgium was in the middle of one of the most devestating wars in European history. In the small city Ieper and its neighbourhood the allied Brittish, French and Belgian forces were fighting against the German army for 4 long years. The region experienced some of the heaviest battles of the war and Ieper was fully destroyed. After the war the city was rebuilt to its former glory which we can still enjoy today. In order to not forget what happened during the war, numerous monuments and war cemeteries characterize the city and its surroundings.

Go back in time and discover one of the most important events in Belgian and European history on the very first IAESTE World War I day trip!
